Prep and protect

Great styling starts on damp hair: a heat protectant always, plus a volumising or smoothing product depending on what you're after.

The blow-dry

Rough-dry to around 80% first, then work in sections with a round brush — tension and a cool-shot to set is what gives that smooth, bouncy salon finish.

Easy waves

For loose waves, wrap mid-lengths to ends around the iron leaving the very ends out, alternate directions, then rake through with your fingers and a little texture spray.

Quick updos

Updos hold best on day-old or prepped hair — a little dry shampoo or texture spray gives grip. Texture first, then pin.

The products

The right products for your hair type make more difference than any technique — ask your stylist at your next visit and we'll point you to what works.
