Want more length or fuller-looking curls without losing the texture you love? Curly hair extensions need a careful match, a considered fitting and a routine you can maintain. At Wigs & Warpaint in Sheffield, Claire brings together her experience of curly hair and extensions to help you explore the options.
Claire’s curly extensions: before and after
This client’s photographs show the change from shorter natural curls to a longer curly style using Remi Cachet extensions, fitted by Claire at our Sheffield salon. The finished views show the length through the back and the curls around the face.

These photographs show one client’s result. Your curl match, length and fitting plan are agreed individually at consultation.
Can you get extensions for naturally curly hair?
Yes, provided your hair is suitable and the extension texture works with it. The aim is a blend that makes sense when you wear your hair naturally. Matching the colour is only part of the appointment: we also look at your curl shape, density, existing length and the finish you want.
Bring photographs of your hair on a normal wash day, as well as inspiration pictures. Tell Claire how you usually style it and how much time you want to spend on upkeep. A convincing result has to fit your everyday routine.
What is the Remi Cachet Curl Collection?
The Remi Cachet Curl Collection includes human-hair wefts designed to mimic a natural 2C curl. It offers a textured option for suitable clients who want extra length or fullness. It is not a universal match for every wave, curl or coil, so we assess the blend in person before recommending it.
Your consultation establishes the appropriate hair, shade, quantity and fitting approach. We explain the proposed result and cost before hair is ordered. You can also explore our Sheffield hair extensions service for an overview of our options.

The collection at a glance
- Format: a 20-inch full weft, weighing 120g.
- Texture: cold-curled hair designed around a 2C pattern; the curl can vary by shade.
- Colour choice: 22 shades in the collection, with your match checked at consultation.
The pack weight is a product specification, not a recommendation for how much hair you need. Claire recommends the amount and placement for your own hair. A photograph can help start the conversation, but it cannot replace a curl and colour assessment.

We use Remi Cachet’s photographs to introduce the collection and its care. Claire’s salon result is shown separately above, so you can see both the brand’s imagery and a real Wigs & Warpaint fitting.
Why book with Claire?
Claire has naturally curly hair herself and works across curly cutting, salon and session work. She is part of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s PROJECT AFRO team for 2026 and shares her experience through training within the salon. Your appointment brings those curl and extension considerations together, with time to discuss what you want from your hair.
What does the consultation involve?
Every extension service starts with a 30-minute consultation costing £30. That amount is fully credited against your fitting if you go ahead. We assess your hair and scalp, discuss your goals, check suitability and give you an individual quotation covering the proposed service and upkeep.
If you have thinning or fragile areas, mention them when arranging the consultation. Suitability comes first; we may recommend a different approach rather than adding extensions.
Your curly extensions appointment, step by step
1. Talk through your curls and your goals
Start with the consultation, rather than booking a fitting straight away. Tell Claire whether you want length, more fullness or both, and bring photographs of your usual curl pattern. We discuss your current routine, previous extensions and any areas you are concerned about.
2. Agree the match and the quotation
We consider colour, texture, density and the length you want to wear. Your plan should make clear which hair is being recommended, the fitting approach, the cost and the maintenance involved. Appointment length and hair availability are confirmed for your individual booking.
3. Fit the agreed hair
If extensions are suitable and you decide to go ahead, the fitting follows the plan agreed at consultation. The attachment method and placement depend on that assessment. Ask Claire to explain how your fitting will work and what you should expect it to feel like.
4. Blend the shape and style the curls
The finished shape matters as much as the added length. Claire works on the blend between your own hair and the extensions, taking the overall silhouette and the curls around your face into account. This is also the time to ask how to recreate the finish at home.
5. Leave with an upkeep plan
Before you leave, make sure you understand washing, detangling, drying and the products recommended for your fitting. Agree when to return for maintenance and ask about its cost. Contact the salon if anything feels uncomfortable or you are unsure how to care for the hair.
Looking after curly extensions

The collection includes shampoo, conditioner and Curl Refresher Mist. Ask Claire which products suit your fitting and how to use them; do not assume that every product for natural curls is suitable for extensions.
Ask for an aftercare routine for your exact hair and fitting. Remi Cachet recommends its Curl Collection care range and stresses that the weft top should be fully dried. Follow the guidance given at your appointment rather than assuming your usual natural-curl routine will suit every part of the fitting.
We will explain detangling, washing, drying, suitable products and your maintenance schedule. Ask about the ongoing cost as well as the initial fitting, and contact us if you need help between visits. See our hair extensions aftercare guide for more general advice.

How long will the extensions last?
There is no single lifespan we can promise. Remi Cachet notes that the additional processing and individual aftercare can affect longevity compared with its straight Elegance hair. Ask Claire about realistic expectations, maintenance and replacement costs for your chosen hair.
