Longer hair needs a shape that grows with you
When you move away from a short cut, the shape matters as much as the length. Your fringe, the weight through the sides and the way your hair sits at the back all affect the finished look. We’ll talk about what you’re growing towards and how much time you want to spend styling it.
Bring photos of styles you like, including how they look from the side and back. Tell us what you want to keep as well as what you want to change. A longer cut should feel like your style, with a plan for the stages in between.
Natural curls or a perm?
If your hair already has a wave or curl, a specialist cut and a different styling routine may be enough to bring it out. A perm is a chemical service that creates a new curl pattern. Your consultation helps establish which approach fits your starting point and your goal.
Soft movement, a wavier fringe and more defined curls are all useful references to discuss. A photo is a starting point for that conversation, rather than a promise of an identical result on different hair.

What happens at the consultation?
We’ll discuss your desired curl, length, volume and everyday routine, then assess your hair’s condition and previous colour or chemical treatments. Tell us about any lightening, straightening or home treatments, even if they were some time ago.
Your stylist will explain suitability, the achievable finish, the appointment time, price and maintenance before a treatment is booked. If your hair needs more length or a different approach first, we’ll discuss that with you. There is no single minimum length or curl result that suits every haircut.
How will you style it at home?
A perm still needs a routine. We’ll explain the aftercare for the service you receive and show you how to handle and style your new texture. Ask us to demonstrate product amounts and the finish you can create at home.
